Today's energy and transportation markets showcase an odd dichotomy

With broader markets being subject to capricious movements, today's energy and transportation markets showcase an odd dichotomy.

One one hand, BloombergNEF released a report stating that the US crossed the threshold of 5% of all cars sold are full EV. 5% marks a turning point in the adoption curve with rapid demand expected to accelerate.

On the flip side, Europe is on edge as Nord Stream 1 is on shutdown for maintenance. We would be fools to think it will come back online at it's scheduled time next week. Putin was recently quoted as saying “Social and economic problems worsening in Europe” will “split their societies” and “inevitably lead to populism … and a change of the elites in the short term.”
