Unprecedented week for the global electric grid

International Energy Agency (IEA) released their special report titled "Electricity Grids and Secure Energy Transitions" stating nearly 40 million km of the transmission system needs to be added or refurbished. That's equivalent to the global grid today.


DOE Grid Deployment Office just announced $3.5 billion for largest ever investment in America’s electric grid, deploying more clean energy, lowering costs, and creating union jobs.


Missouri's Public Service Commission approved final plans for Invenergy LLC's Grain Belt Express line - the $7 billion plan will create an 800-mile HVDC power line that will carry electricity from Kansas to states in the eastern US.
